Deathead has released the following statement.
Mikey and Bryan have left the band. Things within the band were not working out and the difference in personalities involved, Bryan was asked to leave and Mikey decided to go with him. Chris and Rusty will continue working on the songs and a new bassist will be announced soon, once he is, the band will continue as a three piece til they find the "perfect" guitarist for the band. There is no hard feelings and there will be no slandering of the exited members. They moved on and will be doing their thing and Deathead will continue to do our thing.
No word yet as to who the replacement will be, but there is a few "names" in the works and once we decide upon someone we will be back out crushing.
Thanks for understanding and for the patience and loyalty you have shown us all. We promise to make Deathead bigger and better than ever and hopefully you all will love it. Let's just say these changes were made for the better good of the band.

Well if it was needed better to drop the dead weight and move onward than to drag it out and let that dead weight drag you down. Good luckmates. I think it's a good idea for you to work as a three piece at least til you find the perfect bloke for the job. Don't just take whoever comes along if it's not perfect don't force it. We'll still be here supporting ya.

To me bryan never seemed to fit the part anyway, he seemed kind of alien in the band. Sad to see Mikey go, I thought he was cool and posted more here than any other band member ever had. I have to agree with Chris's post though, the band always gets better each time there is a change. It's like the band progresses but some members don't and it's a matter of growht and I for one look forward to the new chapter of the band. Welcome Rusty and I hope you and Chris has a long fruitful relationship.

I liked Mikey, but if he CHOSE to leave then that is his own fault. You can't make someone stay. Sounds like he had more faith in Bryan when he got the boot then he did in Deathead so if that is the way loyalty goes then C YA. Deathead has a magic and it has a chemistry. I haven't felt this way about a band since I got into Slayer when I was a kid. It has that kind of reaction with me. Ihave no dout that Deathead will be a success and for those that jump ship, then yhour fuckin' loss. Chris I have faith in you and Rusty. I believe you will find the right MEN for the job. You deserve to find it and not put up with little boys and their baby attitudes. I read your post and undersatnd that you didn't gel with Bryan and that is common. I have loads of friends in bands and hey it happens but I think it's kind of shitty that Mikey left to go with Bryan and bailed on you guys. That is no loyalty and when there is no loyalty there is no respect from me.

Don't be to upset about it. If someone don't want to be there, it's better they leave instead of dragging the whole band down. Let them go and do their thing and Deathead will persevere and soldier on like always. It's sad because I liked Mikey, but that's life I guess. You think it's hard for us, imagine how hard it is on the band.

I'm actually a bit worried that the band might split up this time. I mean Rusty is a new guy, so who knows. It can't be good for a new guy to c ome into a band and just as he gets there half of the band splits. That can't be a good vibe within the band right now

I really don't think that had anything to do with it bro. Chris has told me that he just didn't get along with Bryan they were c oming from two different places as far as guitarists go is all. When you have two guitarists that just battle each other all the time it will never work.
And I really doubt that Deathead is done dude. Chris will never let this band go. As passionate as he is about this band, he will probably be laid to rest before the band is. Don't fret. I can't speak for Rusty, I haven't even met the guy, but no matter what, Deathead will roll on. There are plenty of musicians out there and I'm sure Deathead will find the right guys sooner or later. I hope it's soon because I really want to see Chris achieve his dream. I have known this guy for 20 years and one of the few people who I can call a friend and I know he's got talent, and wish the rest of the world would catch on to it as well

Judging by the events currently, it seems that the other two were unmotivated. When you pick up new members and book a show at the same time, that shows motivation AND dedication. I wish you the best of luck with the new guys.

That sucks about it all but life goes on. Wen someone dont want to work for a common goal its better to let them jump ship

I have to agree with you all. It seems it's obvious as to who was dragging the band down. Kudos to Chris and Rusty for seeing it and dropping it before they drowned with them.
